This event is part of SEQ Food Summit
We know that right now the future’s looking uncertain - the price of rent and groceries, job opportunities, disjointed communities, looming climate catastrophe…
Some good news? The way we do food can be the fix to many of those. And right now, big calls are being made on the ‘how’ - what we eat, how it’s grown, how we can make sure there’s enough to go around, and what ends up in schools, hospitals, stadiums and kitchens across South East Queensland.
We want to make sure the people who’ll live with it the longest have a say - that we’re not leaving it up to government meetings and billion dollar companies.
So this year, SEQ Food Summit’s People’s Day is dedicated to the next generation of our food system. A high-energy, collaborative community workshop giving voice and resources to the people who have the most skin in the game - high school and uni students, and the communities around them. This is a chance to get involved and make sure those decisions aren’t just made in boardrooms.
