CSIRO, the Council of Mayors of South East Queensland, local governments, the Food Connect Foundation, the Food & Agribusiness Network, government agencies, university researchers and community groups are collaborating to co-create the SEQ Food Systems Strategy. This strategy will be guided by evidence-based goals and actions to build a resilient, productive, and sustainable food system that supports SEQ’s economic and social prosperity.
This workshop will facilitate conversations about how local voices and community interests can be accounted for in creating a SEQ Food Strategy. It will also support discussions about the ways that diverse organisations from producers to consumers can communicate their aspirations and preferences for a sustainable food system.
The workshop welcomes representatives of local farmers, food producers, organisations and businesses who live and work in South East Queensland region.
